We got in our redaction the whole new Epson L850 photo printer. Basically it’s a multinational A4 printer with 6 color tanks and 2.7″ LCD display. This successor of Epson L800 can now print photos or documents without connecting it to a PC. It also features Epson’s MicroPiezo printhead technology and low cost printing expenses. Photo professionals will know that no matter how big the smartphone screen or monitor’s resolution and pixel density are, nothing is as attractive as high quality printed photos. The best thing about Epson L850 is that printing photos now comes with extremely low cost. EcoTank (aka InkTank) technology Epson introduced few years ago is now properly functional, and the L850 no longer has cheap plastic of the casing.

As every Epson InkTank (aka EcoTank) printer, this one is pretty expensive in the start

(probably will cost around $500), while printing comes with low cost for professional photographers or photo studios. Almost every Epson printer with this technology has high-capacity integrated ink tank. You can compare prices of ink on Epson calculator (here). As we know, you can print 1.800 photos in 15 x 10 cm format with one refill. In front you will find a USB and SD card port. Through them you  can print photos or documents directly, without using PC and without need for any drivers. You also get the casing to print CD/DVD’s. The only thing missing is the WiFi connectivity that would allow you to print photos or documents wireless.
