The Samsung Gear 360 Camera is the latest VR-friendly gizmo by Samsung that promises a range of powerful features packed inside a very small casing. For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the news, VR stands for ‘virtual reality’, a pastime that’s taking the tech world by storm. The Gear 360 is meant to offer Samsung users the option to blend the real world with a virtual reality of their choosing, albeit at a somewhat steep price.
With the Gear 360 camera you get an SD card, a small tripod and a chance to remake the world
Well, maybe not quite, but it’s still a neat gadget to own if you’re into the whole virtual reality business. That’s just the thing, though – despite a pair of decent 15-megapixel cameras and a compact, low-key body, there is a plethora of better choices out there for the same price if you’re just looking to do some plain old recording.
In fact, you won’t really have much use for the camera without a Samsung S7, as the two are meant to go hand-in-hand. And while you will rarely find a gadget that costs over $300 yet only serves to enhance another gadget, the Gear 360 really does shine once you’re able to connect all your Samsung devices. If you’re a satisfied S7 user who would like to venture into the realm of VR or simply want a good input device for your Oculus, Samsung’s Gear is far from a bad choice of 360-degree camera. The Samsung Gear 360 Camera is available at Amazon for around $330, you can check it out here!
