The series featured seven different models, the Canon MG3610, Canon MG3620, Canon MG3640, Canon MG3650, Canon MG3660, Canon MG3670, Canon MG3680 – and in case you own one of these bad boys and are in need of an ink replacement, then welcome to our guide! Canon MG3600 series supported Ink Cartridges

All seven models of the MG3600 series support the same Canon Ink Cartridges, the PG-240 Pigment Black Ink Cartridge and the CL-241 Color Ink Cartridge model. While the first one is focused on printing documents which contain text, the CL-241 is for photos. These are regular setups and you will encounter them quite often within the Canon MX range. Both Ink Cartridges are available in normal, XL and XXL size.

Canon Pixma MG3600 series ink cartridge replacement genuineIf you plan to exchange the ink within your Canon MG3600 series printer, I would warmly recommend to go with the official Combo Ink Pack from Canon, because in most cases you will get a better deal then buying them separately (some deals also include a set of Photo Paper for free). The prices for the genuine Canon MG3600 Ink, the PG-240 and CL-241, is ranging from $30 and can go up to $80, depending on the size and the pack you choose, and they will support all seven models.

So regardless if you’re looking for the Canon MG3610 ink replacement, the Canon MG3620 inkjet printer ink, the Canon MG3640 ink refill,  Canon MG3650 compatible ink,  Canon MG3660 printer ink, Canon MG3670 compatible ink cartridge or the Canon MG3680 ink, you will not go wrong with the PG-240 and the CL-241.

Does the Canon MG3600 series support the optional XL and XXL ink cartridges?

Running out of ink was always an issue, especially if you didn’t have a spare set nearby, so Canon decided to introduce the XL and XXL ink cartridges, which are also supported by the whole MG3600 series of printers. Does XL mean Extra Large? No. It means Extended Life.

The main difference is that the normal Canon Ink Cartridges offer around 2000 pages, while the XL versions double that amount, and the XXL goes further and triples it. And although the XXL is reserved for the larger and newer devices, the good news is that the whole MG3600 series supports the XL versions, so if you’re looking to invest in to a long term solutions, you want to go for the Canon XL ink cartridges.
