How far can the Onagofly Nano Drone fly? Contributors October 26, 2016 News The Onagofly Nano Drone seems to be the latest propeller-powered gizmo that promises to change your life for the better. And, at first glance, it seems to innovate the field quite a bit: where so many drones end up being large, loud and menacing machines that make onlookers uncomfortable, this cyber-fly is much smaller and practically inconspicuous. Comparing the Onagofly to its competition Size doesn’t mean everything, however. After all, this isn’t the first time that a ‘mini-drone’ was released, and its predecessors haven’t exactly seen a lot of success on the market. The Onagofly’s large crowdfunding response seems to indicate that the masses like it, but reviews haven’t been as positive as the owners surely hoped for. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the ‘Nano’ label is somewhat misleading – while a lot smaller than many, if not most, of its competitors, the Onagofly will still occupy the better part of your palm and is therefore hardly invisible. In terms of specs and abilities, the Onagofly offers a 15-megapixel camera, a decent image sensor and around 15 minutes of flight time. The last point isn’t something to brag about, but it’s definitely something you’d expect in a drone of such a size. It all boils down to this: why do you need a small drone? For $300, there’s no doubt you can do better in terms of performance, albeit with a much larger model. If you need something for low-key flights and recording and wish to avoid disturbing people in the vicinity, the Onagofly is definitely worth a look.
